| I just started a few days ago and was told that yes, 5 fruits and 0 vegetables is ok (and other way around too). Maybe that's just to get you off to a good start.

| I am a diabetic and seem to crave the fruit, therefore I eat more of it. However, it was discussed in our class meeting that with diabetes I need to watch my intake of bananas and potatos - supposedly both are high in sugar and can cause my sugars to elevate quite dramatically. I had not really realized that until another member with diabetes had better results by limiting those two items and his fasting glucoses are now in the 90's range, down from 160's range.

| I've been told that it's recommended that you eat more vegatables than fruits - the fruits tend to have more calories and sugar - but regardless, both are good for you!

| Occasionally yes, but you really want to get an equal balance of both.
