Well as alot of us have come to find out is that the "box" is the basis to this whole diet. I have tried many thing trying to break the rules and go outside the box and still see the weight loss, NOTHING has worked. The only thing that i have seen is being in the box is the best way. For three major reasons: 1)Its easier to calculate your intake meaning i work 20 hour days sometimes i might have 10 packs of HMR but I know how many calories i have taken in. 2) If you break the box its very difficult to determine if your getting the vitamins and minerals that you need to be successful, because alot of people think its just calorie counting but thats only half the battle. 3) Its exactly like a winning streak in sports or having a great week at work, everything seems to be better while you doing it, your losing the weight, people are seeing the difference, and find your motivation is it clothes, health, energy and then ride the box to victory!!!!

| fyi - for me, staying in the box, does not yet include veggies or fruits. i'm on the decision free program - and my box includes only the foods provided by the clinic - nothing else - at all. it hasn't been easy for me - as i continue practicing not only staying in the box - but teaching myself to realize these are healthy choices i'm making/choosing - vs feeling deprived because i can't eat the stuff that has been killing me softly all these years..... it's so worth it - i'm doing better each day - and the weight loss is guaranteed as long as i stay in the box - and so far, i've lost 12 pounds!!! stay encouraged everyone - we will get there - one meal at a time. :-)

| Staying in the box means just that, until you've lost the weight. If you are eating other items and have not reached your goal weight you are not doing the program. By staying in the box you are learning about portion control,if you are really hungry, and exercise.Other foods are added in after... I lost over 50 lbs 5 years ago and continue to go on and off as needed. It is the easiest way.

| Staying in the box is a big part of the program, if you are not in the box, you are not doing the program. I like that fact that you can eat as much in the box foods as you would like and still have a lower calorie day. It also keeps your metabolism running like a fine tuned automobile. Whether you are doing Decision Free or Healthy Solutions, staying in the box is the quickest route to your weight management goals.

The salad is ok if you are on healthy solutions and you used low fat/ fat free dressing. Staying in the box means 3-2-5 (3 shakes, 2 entrees and 5 fruits / vegetables) minimum. You can have the soup, bars and oatmeal. Nothing else! Condiments, bouillion,ff sour cream or mayo is allowed on healthy solutions.
good luck on your healthy journey mrsmordru@cox.net
