What's Offered and How They Work

The HMR Program for Weight Management™- offers four different options to best fit Participants' lifestyles and goals. Program options include:

HMR® Clinic Programs

Medically supervised very low- and low-calorie diets (VICD/LCD) for rapid and significant weight loss

Healthy Solutions®

A moderate weight loss diet without medical supervision

HMR® Home Programs

The HMR at Home ® Program uses the same Healthy Solutions® moderate Weight-loss diet with the weekly phone support

Self-directed weight loss using HMR® meal replacements with program materials

Regardless of which option participants choose, the HMR® Program follows the same basic principles. These principles are rooted in published research and 20 years of data collected on more than 800,000 participants.
The program provides structured diets using meal replacements and places n strong' Emphasis on physical activity and long-term lifestyle changes. HMR's line of meal replacements Includes shakes, soups, entrees, and nutrition bars.

Screening

Participants work with HMR® staff to determine the most appropriate diet option and, if needed, receive a comprehensive medical evaluation.

Weekly Classes with Individualized Coaching

Attending weekly classes and working with health educators help participants learn to adapt their lifestyles for weight-loss success. The weekly group meetings, along with simple record-keeping, provide the necessary structure and accountability for participants to develop skills to manage their weight.

Lifestyle Education Materials

Comprehensive program materials support group classes as well as individuals who choose to work on their own.

Long-term Maintenance

After the weight-loss phase, participants attend weekly classes to receive support to continue to learn simple strategies for long-term successful weight management.

HMR® Risk Factor Profile

A health risk appraisal may be given to participants before and after weight loss to measure the health benefits of weight loss and lifestyle changes, reinforcing newly acquired weight- and health-management skills.
